Landscape
of the soul

My practice is a sensory exploration of how the environment dictates our emotional equilibrium. I seek to move beyond the "visual window" of the landscape, immersing myself in a journey that prioritises smell, touch, and sound as much as sight. To me, the scent of a changing season or the friction of fallen leaves underfoot is not just an observation; it is the anchor that gives us a sense of belonging.
This deep connection to the land manifests through a multidisciplinary approach. I use photography and video as a performative language to capture the "transient melody" of time, the tension between growth and decay. These digital records are often remastered into a visual language intended to transport you toward a more transcendental realm. In the field, my process is visceral. I carry charcoal and papers into the elements, often discarding traditional tools to use my hands as brushes. Letting the rhythm of the wind guide my movements, I translate the sharp lines of birdsong and the warmth of the breeze into a poetic dance on the surface. In this space, the landscape is more than a backdrop; it is a muse and an active, albeit unknowing, partner in the creative act.

Leaving Time

As winter gives way to spring, the fallen leaves from last year still lie scattered on the ground, reminding me of how fragile life is. The flow of time cannot be halted, even when we wish it could be. We must accept it and follow the path it takes us along.

Can I keep this moment
fragile as it seems
Immortalise the broken
No, I must let go

Feeling without presence

Dedicated to sensory experiences through the human capacity to witness the environment through visceral engagement and digital translation. Moving beyond the fixed visual window of traditional landscape, my direction is moving towards eco-phenomenology: a multidisciplinary inquiry into how the changing seasons, the connection of the earth underfoot, and the natural progression of life serve as the ultimate anchor for emotional equilibrium. I want to focus my practice at the intersection of environmental advocacy and existential inquiry, documenting a world that is constantly becoming and constantly dissolving.

The principle of my work explores the productive tension between the transient melody of digital media and the visceral friction of physical mark-making. In the field, my process is performative and raw, letting the rhythm of the wind guide my hands across paper. These site-specific encounters are not merely recorded but are remastered into a visual language. This hybrid approach, bridging the gap between the charcoal-stained hand and the digital lens, allows me to create immersive encounters that transport the viewer toward a spiritual plane.

My professional path is a commitment to recording the vanishing dance of our natural world. By translating fleeting sensory experiences into tangible forms, I invite the viewer to confront the profound fragility of our ecological connection. My goal is to create feelings of belonging, reminding us that our place within the Earth’s delicate pulse is both a beautiful gift and a responsibility we must learn to honour before it passes.
